Bringing Outdoor Joy to More Communities
A Swing Can Change Someone’s Day
At Wheelchair Swings, our mission has always been simple: help people who use wheelchairs experience the freedom and joy of swinging. Because of the support we’ve received from families, organizations, and community partners, we are able to sponsor a limited number of projects each year through our Community Giveback Program.
This program helps nonprofit organizations, care facilities, schools, and veterans programs bring a wheelchair-accessible swing to the people they serve. Many of our swings are installed in places where individuals may not otherwise have access to safe outdoor recreation. When the swing starts moving, the smiles say everything.
How the Community Giveback Program Works
Supporting Communities Through Sponsored Projects
The standard Wheelchair Swing includes delivery within the continental United States and full support from order through installation. Through the Community Giveback Program, approved organizations may receive a sponsored match that helps reduce the total cost of the project.
These sponsored matches may come from:
-
Wheelchair Swings
-
Community donors
-
Partner organizations
-
Businesses that want to support accessibility
Each request is reviewed individually to ensure the project aligns with our mission and can create meaningful impact. Because the program is limited each year, not every request can be approved. Our goal is to focus on projects where the swing will serve the greatest number of people.
The Impact of our Wheelchair Swings
For many individuals who rely on a wheelchair, traditional playgrounds and outdoor equipment are difficult or impossible to use. Facilities across the country have shared how these swings create meaningful moments for residents, patients, students, and families. The experience is simple, but the impact is powerful. Wheelchair Swings are designed so riders can remain safely in their wheelchair while enjoying gentle motion that supports
